I just realized that I'm not posting a lot lately, sorry.  It's been busy as usual but fortunately, next week is going to be a bit calmer.  We only have chess on Monday, church on Tuesday, a health store run possibly Wednesday and shopping on Friday.  I'm looking forward to spending today at home.

After deciding not to work as much it seems that my clients have other plans for me LOL  They keep sending me more and more work!  At least I'm not out actively looking for work so that does help.  It's nice to know that I'm needed, I guess.

I've spent a lot of time doing plastic canvas this week.  Currently I'm working on a ghost, a Christmas present, a cupcake and a ladybug mouse pad.  I'm also making something for Mini Me's birthday, which is next Sunday (I can't believe I'll have a tween already) but we'll have to see how it turns out because it's a tough pattern to do LOL

Mini Me still has a lot of unfinished projects and we just ordered Easy-to-make Pueblo Village to do for Thanksgiving.  I'm hoping to have The Tallest Building in the World Cut & Assemble: Burj Khalifa done by then.  At least we have it all cut out and ready to go.  I'd like to entice her into finishing that, some sewing she's doing (a plastic canvas box with Thundercats on it), making chalk, making "educational" sugar cookies (we have a few ideas I'll have to let you know what we decide on later LOL) and doing some painting we've been meaning to do.  She's still working on some workbooks so I won't have to get any new ones any time soon like I thought I would LOL  We've got plenty to do and lots to include within our portfolio this year, which is almost done and I'll be starting a second one in about a month.

A word about our portfolio...  I can't believe Mini Me is almost done with fifth grade.  I keep track of days and go by years because of this portfolio nonsense.  She'll start sixth grade in January.  I'd thought she'd be done by the end of October and be in sixth by Thanksgiving.  I'm not pushing or hurrying things though so I'm just saying it didn't work out as I'd thought it would.  At 10 (which she'll be next week), she should only be in fourth grade because of how her birthday falls, even though the school district wanted to label her as second grade LOL

Well, I think that's about it for me for now.  I need to get a few things done around the house today but otherwise we're home doing nothing LOL  What are you up to this weekend?
